Surfing The Web: Content Filtering And Today’s Security Threats
Tuesday February 25, 2025 10:00am - 10:50am CST
Surfing the web is both a joy and a risk. It can also be a headache in an environment where federal law dictates the types of content you can access while on the CPS Network. While it’s true CPS blocks some websites and YouTube videos/channels, it’s not as many as you might think. Join us to learn the ins and outs of internet content filtering, including how to request a block/unblock of a website/YouTube video and the flexibility your school has for tailoring some content access. The session will also provide tips on how to spot questionable websites and to browse with confidence, knowing that your connection is secure.
