CPS Tech Talk 2025

Drones aren’t toys - they’re educational tools that can improve engagement by actually putting the A in STEAM and making coding even more fun. Join us to see live demonstrations of drones both for classroom and overall school use, including manual flights and coded/autonomous flights. We’ll explore resources for bringing this computer science experience to your classroom, and give recommendations on the best purchase options. In addition to computer science connections, we’ll explore drones for use in multimedia and the arts using more advanced models that can unlock student creativity, augment digital and media arts instruction, and instill pride in students’ school and community.  Along the way, you’ll learn drone terminology, career opportunities, and safety rules & regulations.
